Ephesians 1:1-3 - Blessed

This Sunday Mike continues his series of messages on Ephesians. In Ephesians 1:3 Paul uses the phrase “In Christ,” a phrase he uses a lot in his letters. What does it mean to be “blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ?” This week we begin to dig in to the depths of this truth.

Ephesians 1:1 - Introduction

Where do you find your identity? Is it in Jesus or something else? This Sunday Mike begins a new series on the book of Ephesians. This week we start with a bit of historical background on the city and how the church began there. Then we dive into Paul’s introduction where he refers to the Christians as saints.

The Abundant Life In Christ

Jesus has given us life! This week Bobby shares on some of what this means, especially what it means for us when our life on earth is over and we die. Is death the end?

In John 14: 1 Jesus says, “I go to prepare a place for you…” And then in 1 Corinthians 2:9 Paul says, "Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and which have not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love Him." Jesus took death for us so that death for those who love Him would only be the entry to a new life.

Jonah (part 1)

For this message on Jonah, we had a very special visitor - Jonah himself!  The prophet tells us the beginning of his story, and then our pastor follows it up with his thoughts.  This Sunday we focused on chapter 1 of the book of Jonah.  In this chapter the prophet hears the call of God and runs the other way.  Today we talked about reasons to run from God, ways we run from God, and what the consequences are when we run.

Lessons from 2 Timothy 3

This is the second part of a set of messages (unfortunately the first one was lost), on the importance of being in God's Word.  2 Timothy 3 is a prophetic passage on what Christians will face in life.  Today the focus is on verses 14-16 where Paul is encouraging Timothy to continue in God's Word.
